Although the work started by giving practical support to children in orphanages and internats in Ukraine (Internats are very poor state run institutions for both orphans and very poor children) our work has expanded to give help in three Central Asian and three African countries.

In Ukraine we regular provide the funds and supply clothes, shoes, coats, mattresses, bedding, glass, lino, carpet, medical equipment, medicine, cooking utensils and renovating rooms in a number of orphanages. While in three orphanages we have undertaken the much larger projects of completely renewing and refurbishing the bathrooms, washing facilities and pipe work in three storey buildings.

We provided the funds to buy a small farm and are helping with the building of a half way home for ex prisoners which includes a workshop for the ex prisoners to learn skills and prepare them to face life outside the prison.

In Central Asia we have helped purchase land and paid for the refurbishment of a building into a Youth Centre. We also paid for a children's playground. We support 6 young people through university and have helped purchase two flats for boys leaving a rescue shelter so they do not return to the streets.

In Africa we provided the funds to purchase land in Chawama for a group of Christians to develop an orphans and vulnerable children's centre.

In conjunction with local Christians we started two seed for feed programmes whereby we fund the purchase of seed and fertilizer for orphans and widows. Local Christians show the orphans how to grow the food and at harvest time they bring back a part of the harvest. In three years these children and widows should have learnt the skills to make them self-sufficient.
