One of the few ways to help children out of poverty is to help them receive education. That is why we are supporting 11 schools in the brick kilns of Pakistan. In certain areas of Pakistan you can see miles and miles of tall chimneys with black smoke drifting out from the top. As you get closer you see row upon row of bricks being made by both adults and children. Often you will see children pushing the wooden wheelbarrows carrying the mud to their parents to make the bricks. Sometimes you will see very young children turning the bricks. Sadly the debt of the parents is past to their children so many live their whole life in the brick kilns. We hope that by giving education to the children we may break the cycle of poverty for some of the families and find a better life.
